Cauayan is a second rate class city in the region of Isabela. Cauayan City has been chosen to have the Proposed Isabela Special Economic Zone and the Regional Agro-Industrial Growth Center. There are more than 2,422 business foundations that incorporate merchants, wholesalers and retailers. Cauayan city is a surplus maker of rice and corn. An aggregate of 24,004 hectares or 69.9% hectares is used for palay creation and corn generation. Normal yield per hectare per editing is 4.5 MT for rice and corn. Different items incorporate domesticated animals and poultry, foods grown from the ground, and fishery items, for example, hito (feline fish) and tilapia.
